The Village of Warburg (population 789) is a small, quiet but energetic community boasts of friendly residents and prides itself on its community spirit. Warburg is located approximately 95 km SW of Edmonton, 60 km W of Leduc, 65 km E of Drayton Valley and 70 km S of Stony Plain.

Warburg is situated in a farming area amidst an abundance of oil and gas wells and next door to a large Capital Power generating station. We are in the westernmost portion of Leduc County, ten minutes from Pigeon Lake; thirty minutes from Leduc or Drayton Valley; fourty-five minutes from Stony Plain, Wetaskiwin, Rimby, Nisku and the Edmonton International Airport.

Warburg has a great K to 12 school, an enthusiastic seniors’ population and a modern and enterprising Council. Warburg Village Council and Administration strives to maintain a high level of services to residents while maintaining a commitment to environmental and social sustainability. Initially a farming community, Warburg grew when the

Northeastern and Lacombe railways were extended. Incorporated in 1953, it is now a center for the agriculture, oil and electrical power industries. This self-sufficient community provides business, recreational and residential services to its own and the surrounding Leduc County residents.
